Shirtless Sunday: BooBoo Stewart

Way back in the day, I asked if all the members of the Wolf Pack really had what it took to be pack members.  Not a long history of acting ... but a killer physique.

Even as a young pup, BooBoo Stewart brought the abs out as needed.  But that was then, this is now.  Welcome to the 2011 edition of BooBoo Stewart's abs!

I must say I'm impressed at the way all the Wolf Pack boys keep themselves up between the different shoots.  Also looking forward to seeing more of BooBoo Stewart as Seth Clearwater in Breaking Dawn.

Twilight Supermarket Tabloid Shocker!

I was in the grocery store today and just about died when I got to the checkout line.  Not because a new Robert Pattinson photo spread was staring back at me, or because they had another Wolf Pack featurette for sale.

No, I was in shock because The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opened this week to record breaking ticket sales, and there wasn't a damn tabloid headline dedicated to a member of the cast anywhere to be seen.

WTForks, people?

Sandra Bullock is getting a divorce.  Still.

The Bachelorette is dumped.  Yawn.

Jennifer Aniston is having a baby.  I DO NOT EVEN CARE.

I've gotten used to not being able to turn around without seeing a piece of Twilight related merchandise somewhere in the immediate vicinity when I'm out shopping.  Admittedly, at times I thought it was getting a little out of hand but I never thought that on release week - RELEASE WEEK, YOU MORONS - the tabloids and glossies wouldn't be in a Twilight swoon, rolling in money as old fans and new fans alike snapped up special issues.

Also . . . it's the 4th of July and I was in line for a really long time.  Some Twilight made-up gossip drama would have trumped the hell out of reading about that Bachelorette crap while I waited for the lady with 2,000 items in her cart of check out.  Just saying.

It's like all the marketing people died or went on vacation.  Or are clinically dumb.

FOR THE LOVE OF A SHIRTLESS WEREWOLF, DON'T YOU PEOPLE LIKE MONEY?

And The Twi-Sanity Officially Kicks It Up A Notch

Holy hell, people. It is like, what? Day One of the mega-publicity blitz and after reading my updates for the last hour I am not even to the end. Keep in mind that I checked in this morning, too.

It's that intense out there. And that's before I even touch the fan fiction front . . .

Let me 'splain . . .

inigo montoya

No, is too much. Let me sum up.

The short version, in no particular order:
  • Stephenie Meyer will be on Oprah November 13th. If only I didn't hate Oprah so damn much for Dr. Phil and a hundred other gag me transgressions . . . I will buy Harper's Bazaar but watching Oprah is going to far. The fandom is going to have to take one for the team for me on this one. Clips I will watch.
  • How many Extended Access clips are there of the cast doing interviews about New Moon? I move they just read us the script. Then I could just hear the audio instead of putting up with the buffering, buffering, buffering I get on the video.
  • The Eclipse movie poster is out. It's a little creepy.
Photobucket
  • I got a real combat trained soldier to walk through a fight scene with me for my fan fic, Distilling Down. How excited am I for the next chapter? Oh, very. Next week!
  • Project Team Beta, I love you. Just giving the shout out now. I will read the 10 emails I have from you as soon as I finish watching the Wolf Pack do their interview thing.
  • I had no idea Taylor Lautner was short. Check his foot! It's a total Tom Cruise thing.

Until tomorrow!

The Complete Howling at New Moon

For the Wolf Pack lovers out there . . . as long as we're talking Halloween specials, here's the complete recast of the MTV Howling at New Moon program.

These Wolves Are Wearing Me Out

I don't know about you, but I am totally exhausted by the presence of the Wolf Pack EVERYWHERE. The worst part is that I know they are just warming up for November, which is going to a publicity blitzkrieg the likes of which the Twidom has never seen.

Just waiting to invade a forest near you

Photobucket

I don't know if I'm up to it.

Taking it from the top, we have the core issue that I'm a Cullen girl at heart. I like vampires. You like vampires. It's good.

Enter the werewolves. Werewolves bad, okay? But werewolves hot. So hot. Oh my, shirtless wonders of the Wolf Pack, banned in Wales and other backwaters for your sweet fleshy goodness . . . wait. Bad! Wolf Pack bad. Bad! Vampires good.

Oh yes, vampires. Good . . . .

Photobucket

And yet, everywhere I look. . . . No vampire sexy goodness. Vampire sexy fail. All the sexy vampire stuff is already saved in my photobucket and fan fiction accounts.

In real life, vampire related interviews consist of Elizabeth Reaser claiming she doesn't get Esme and Peter Facinelli being all "AZ State Fair, yeah baby!" . . . in comparison, we've got Boo Boo Stewart doing wolf flips, Taylor Lautner romancing Taylor Swift, various other members of the Wolf Pack doing mall appearances and interviews. Everywhere. They're everywhere.

This symbol, everywhere I look.

Photobucket

Just when I think there might be an escape . . . no. Wolf Pack is at the mall, my friends. First, in reality:

Photobucket

And then in posters, cut outs, T-shirts, etc, etc, etc. It's making me crazy, tired, and scared.

They're all so young and made scary with computer shading. I don't like it. I want something cold, dead, and sparkling to cuddle up with to make me feel better.

How many more days till New Moon? I need to start drinking now . . . .

Wolf Pack With Shirts = Unacceptable

RAWR!

Okay, whose brilliant idea was it to put out a brand new poster of the Wolf Pack WITH SHIRTS?

This is not acceptable.

No one wants to see these puppies with their shirts on. NO ONE. Plus, this whole set up makes them look like they just escaped from jail and have been living in your garden shed for weeks, only to take a vote and decide to break into your house and kill you for your groceries. After huffing all your cleaning products.

Bad marketing department, bad, bad.

The Posts I didn't Make This Weekend

Photobucket

Despite starting off with reasonable intentions, I rapidly degenerated into a worth slob who did nothing but (disturbingly) dream of Chris Weitz and inhale massive amounts of Wolf-pack justified graphics, interviews, and fan fic this weekend. Pretty much all it takes to get me distracted, it seems, is a shining pair of underage abs, followed by an update to one of my favorite stories.

I was motivated to write a section for my own fan fic (more on that later), but not to make coherent thoughts out of Wolf Pack material. It's like the Team Edward in me rises up and rebels, and forces me to lose typing ability after checking out anything in soaking wet jorts with a tattoo. Throw in time spent looking at Taylor Lautner instead of working on the rest of the pack, and it's no wonder it's Sunday night on the WolfPack weekend and I haven't got a darn thing to show you.

Apologies, I suck at follow through. I do hope sort through all the wolfy goodness I discovered and show you some gems soon, however!

Stay Tuned For A Wolfpack Weekend

Whatever else happens in the fandom this weekend, I've decided: It's Wolfpack time.

Though I've admired their abs from afar, I haven't taken the time to do much in-depth appreciation for the individual actors who make up the Wolfpack. It's like I see Taylor Lautner's abs, get distracted, and forget a) what I was doing and b) that there are more wolves.

With the launch of the new stills this week, I just can't ignore the boys any longer. It may take me a minute to track down just the right pictures of each one, but trust me, this weekend is going to be "ab"solutely fabulous!

Do You Have What It Takes To Join The Wolfpack?

Quick, everybody. What do you need to be a member of the Wolfpack?

Is it a finely honed talent for acting? Well, not really. Yes, the wolfpackers have okay acting chops, but you know what you really need to join the Wolfpack. Especially a Wolfpack led by Mr. I-Only-Eat-Protein-And-Lift, aka, Taylor Lautner.

You need muscles. Specifically, you need abs. Wolfpack abs don't get painted on like vampire ones (Forgive me Rob, but, well, you know). They just . . .don't.

Today, it was revealed that Mr. BooBoo Stewart does indeed have what it takes to run with the pack.

Remember though . . .and disturbing as this is on so many levels . . .he's only 15.

Alex Meraz, Shirtless

This officially gets a WHOA, HEL-LO from me.

You see, normally I don't give the secondary characters in the Twilight Saga much of my attention. I just don't. And Alex Meraz was one that I'd filed away in the box called "Nameless Hot Members of the Wolfpack" (See also: Jailbait) and so I'm quite sure I was not expecting this.

However, 15 seconds later, I will confess that I will be watching this man MUCH more closely in the future!

Rob Pattinson vs. Xavier Samuel

In a battle for hotness to the death, who would win? Although this was something I had personally never contemplated, not knowing Xavier Samuel from a rock in my shoe, apparently there are swirls in the blogosphere that he may be a contender for replacing Rob Pattinson as the King of Sex Incarnate.

WTForks, right?

I mean, in one corner we have legions . . .and legions . . . and legions of SCREAMING fan girls, followed by millions of quieter women who kind of know better but don't give a flying squirrel about how ridiculous they are with their little Robsession. I'm in their camp. And it's not so little (Yeah, that's what she said).

Oh, I may sneak over to Team Jacob now and again, and let's all just admit that the Wolf Pack abs are perfectly lickable, but honestly, it's ROB PATTINSON.

All Hail The Hotness!

Photobucket

And in the other corner, we have Xavier Samuel.

Thanks, JustJared.

Things that I knew about Xavier Samuel, prior to him getting cast as Riley in Eclipse:
  • (crickets)
Things I learned about Xavier Samuel from the general Twiverse prior to writing this post:
  • Australian
  • Blonde
  • Smokes
  • Made the cut for the cast
Things I learned about Xavier Samuel on Wikipedia:
  • He's 25, which makes him older than Rob and not jailbait (in most states) like Taylor.
We'll take that as a win. Some of the cast needs to be of age, or how will I ever get Jacob and the Wolf Pack drunk enough to . . . never mind. Focus, focus, focus.
  • He's done some theater: Two Weeks With The Queen, Osama The Hero, and Mercury Fur.
Never heard of any of those. You? (crickets) Yeah, I kind of thought that.
  • He's done two TV shows. McLeod's Daughters, a series, and Dream Life, a movie.
Still not ringing a bell.
  • There are some movies in there too, 2:37, Angela's Decision, September, Newcastle, The Loved Ones, and Road Train.
Maybe they were big in Australia?

So, basically I'm a prejudiced, original cast loving kind of girl. Who is Xavier Samuel? In my book, until he starts doing Kellan Lutz push up tricks, starts a band a la Mr. Rathbone, or sprouts Wolf Pack worthy abs, this kid is a nobody.

And he's definitely not hotter than Rob!

How Twilight Merchandise Enters The Home

Okay, I will admit that this is totally inspired by Twitarded's post about the Full-Size Edward Cutout, which is pricelessness redefined.

But it got me thinking about the journal from normal to "That's Normal" when it comes to ownership of Twilight merchandise.

Specifically, it got me thinking about all of the ways that Twilight merchandise manages to make its way off the shelves and into the homes of formerly sane women who have now been converted into crazed TwiLovers.

I think it starts off pretty easy and then progresses. And for the record, I am going to deny, deny, deny any resemblance between this and my own Twilight goody hoardings:

1. You read the books.

2. You buy the books. Hey, you liked reading them, right? Never hurts to have a copy of a good book in the house.

3. You get a bookmark. It's for the books. How are you supposed to mark your page without a bookmark. I recommend an Edward one for Book 1, Jacob for Book 2, and . . .wait, I got distracted looking at a shirtless Jacob bookmark. Ah, screw it. Just get Wolf Pack for all of them. You've got a lot of favorite parts, and there's a lot of Wolf Pack to go around.

4. Right, tearing away from the books, you watch the movie.

5. You buy the movie. How are you supposed to enjoy the special features if you don't own the movie, right?

6. Download the soundtrack. Or buy it. Or both. Whatever. Rock out to "Eyes On Fire" like a total badass. Attempt to say the last names of the song writers . . .if you dare.

7. Get a movie poster. Because it's funny. It's just a joke. Ha-ha, look how much I'm into this silly movie. Ha, ha, ha . . . .ahem. Continue to maintain joke excuse despite the multiple posters. Deny Robsession and/or Team Jacob status.

8. Buy a magazine with a Twilight themed article. Because you need something to read on the train/in the car/later this afternoon.

9. Buy the "Sexy Stars Of Twilight" and/or the US Weekly with six pages of Robert Pattinson. Personally, I recommend the "and" over the "or" option. Again, deny Robsession and/or Team Jacob status. Maintain you are Team Switzerland, or Team Carlisle.

10. See some Twilight chocolate at the store. Squeal like a fan girl, then buy it. It's chocolate, who gives a flying .. . um, squirrel? . . .what's on the the wrapper. It's Robert Pattinson themed chocolate! And you're so . . .hungry. Yeah, that's why you need it. Several packs of it. The hunger, OME THE HUNGER.

11. Laugh at other people's photos of Mini Edward and Tonner Edward. Think about how fun it would be to have one of your own. Think of the possibilities. Examine your budget and buy the one that fits. Or both. I'm not judging, just jealous.

12. Inadvertently mention a Twilight related interest near a birthday. Receive a Twilight pillow, blanket, mousepad, messenger bag, etc . . . .if you are lucky and have been a good girl.

13. Wake up and realize that you have a Twilight lair, complete with books, magazines, stickers (Team Edward, Team Jacob), buttons (I Like Boys Who Sparkle!), pillows, Mini Edward AND Tonner Edward.

14. Pretend you don't know how all of that got in here. Laugh about it. Scream if anyone attempts to separate you from your merch. My precious!

15. Plan to attend a premier event or set stalk later this fall. Shop for Pattinson Pants, cause you can. They'll look so much better on you anyway, it won't seem weird at all.

16. Browse Etsy for Twilight shoes and other unique merch. There are 12,885 items listed, including necklaces (nice and snarky), bracelets, lotions . . . there are just so many creative folks out there, how can you not support them?

17. Um . . . . admit you have a problem? Oh wait . . .if you admit you have a problem, that might imply you want it fixed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH . . . .ahem.

18. Wonder what sweet merch will be coming out with New Moon. Wonder if 30 is too old for rub on Wolf Pack tattoos . . . .

Full Moon = Jacob Post Time!

So, I went out for a walk and I noticed that the moon was nice and full. Which made me think of New Moon, which made me think of Jacob. And I did feel a weensy bit guilty about how much I laughed at the "La Push Jacob Off A Cliff" thing I posted earlier. So I thought I would make it up to me, and karmically to him, by posting some yummy Team Jacob shirtless pics!

First a little one . . .
Photobucket

And then the lovely big one . . .
Photobucket

Here's a little wolf pack loving too, just because it's a big full moon night down here in Raleigh. And well, because it's the wolf pack . . . YUM!
