The Shoes Ruin This Photo of Rob Pattinson In Japan

So, I am totally fine with hopping on the publicity tour bandwagon as long as it's not straight Wolf Pack all the time. Thus, you know I was really looking forward to enjoying the photos of Rob Pattinson with New Moon director Chris Weitz in Japan.

Then, like a tractor beam on the Death Star, my eyes were drawn to the shoes. Can you spot the ones I'm talking about here?

Hint: These aren't men's shoes I'm obsessed with!

Ignoring a host of other things I'd love to comment about here with regards to the overall look, what the ever loving bejebus is on her feet?

I've Dreamed About Chris Weitz

Today was cold and dreary here (damn you, oncoming winter) and so I needed a nap.

And in a sign that all things Twilight related are effing up my brain, I dreamed about Chris Weitz.

Photobucket

Yes, that's the one. The very same. And while he is funny and cute(ish) and much more in my age range than the Wolf Pack I've been ogling the rest of the weekend HE'S MARRIED. Thank goodness in the dream all we did was try and work out a time to have dinner, cause otherwise I'd been at the shrink's. I don't do married people, even in my dream life.

So it's official: Twilight really does drag you to the dark side. Help!

Whoa, When Did Esme Get Creepy?

Dedicated fangirl A. Luper over at NewMoonMovie did a side by side comparison of the cast looks between the Twilight Hardwicke versions and the Weitz versions.

Photobucket

Some of the looks are improvements (why Hellooooo there, Jacob) but others have me shaking my head.

Obviously, Victoria looks awesome in both, 'cuz she's just that awesome. Edward is starting to look his age. And Esme . . .what have they done with Esme?

I could believe super Mom powers would flow from the innocent looking lady in Twilight, but this Esme looks like she might just eat her own young. There's just something a little extra predatory in the whole ensemble. I'm sure the photo director told them to put on their intense faces for the promo shoot, but I don't want to be freaked out by Supermom anymore!

Recovering From Comic Con Overload

Comic Con insanity is winding down, leaving everyone out there with an interest in Twilight to sort through the absolutely staggering amount of video and merchandise that were unleashed at the convention.

It's a lot. In some ways, Comic Con totally delivered, because fans were served up not just one, but two sneak peeks of the movie. Hells yeah!

Photobucket

In other ways it kind of sucked, because the initial press conference was short and lame, and although the panel was a little better it still wasn't necessarily everything that fans were wanting. Although, of course, we'll take what we can get.

About the best location for the raw footage, now that bad video and technically flawed live feeds have been sorted out, is over at NewMoonMovie.org.

The footage is all kind of entertaining, although there are definitely some people who shine more than others. Ashley Greene did well for her first time at a panel of this size, and Rob Pattinson was really sweetly letting Taylor Lautner shine in his moment as the hot one of the movie.

Way to give a win to Team Jacob there Rob!

Kristen seemed a bit off, although to be fair she is really in the middle of doing a totally different kind of film. To be unfair . . .sit up straight hoesbeast, you're the star here!

Also pleasantly surprised by how deadpan funny and self-deprecating Chris Weitz turned out to be. I didn't really like Catherine in her interviews (something about her voice & mannerisms just bugs me) and from his taste in music I wasn't sure I was going to like this guy. And yet. . . he is totally growing on me. Depending on how 'effing awesome the film turns out to be, I may just become a fan.

And then . . . .and then there is the merchandise.

I love you Rachelle, just for holding THAT.
Photobucket

Man, oh man. They are totally whoring this film out to the merch men, and retailers have got to be on their knees saying thank you for this little gem!

Photobucket

More on merch later . . . .once I get over the shirtless Jacob doll!

(Big thanks to ET and photobucket twilight lovers for the photos!)
